Set

As evidenced on the images that were posted recently, set has drawn out some clear images in our mind, whether is a collection of toys, sun set, or a pattern of colors.

It characterizes a number of aspects of an entity. In design, it may be described as an interjection of creativity; a whole or a distinctively colored pattern of such contemporary processes, a cluster of abstractions, or notion of rather habitually or stubbornly fixed.

‘Process, on the contrary, represents an ongoing transformation from abstraction to material or virtual representation (Systemic Delay, page 2)’

Contemporary design processes rely relentlessly on rigorous investigations and experimentations in order to achieve the desired outcome. The outcome usually produces not only one solution but a 'set' of solutions created through the progressive interrogation based of the initial notion. Any changes produced in the design processes will collectively seen as a ‘whole’/’set’ (of ideas).
